We would like to say a huge thank you to all those who joined Angela and I for our afternoon tea charity event on the 29th September and for their generosity.  We sold all 140 tickets and raised a total of £1,150 for the two charities.

Special thanks to Charlotte at Mounton Brook Lodge for letting us use her beautiful venue; to Sue from Teacup Parties for providing the vintage crockery, making the tables look fabulous; our very talented photographer, Megan Binns and our four lovely hostesses, Sofie, Lotte, Amelia and Harriet.

Thanks to our contributors who gave us some amazing gifts for our prize draw and auction: Eden Rose, Celtic Manor, Angela Fryer & ASoD, St Pierre (Marriott Hotels), Pam Wilson (Artist), Garden Centre, Chepstow Racecourse, Tudor Farmhouse, Belles, Chris Voyce, Sally’s Florist, Nails Plus, A & H JONES, Butchers, Tutshill, The Anchor Inn, IDS & Jo Thomson and last but by no means least: Rose Townsend, Liz Wilson, Jean Samuels, Joyce & Mrs Dark for their monetary donations.

We not only enjoyed a wonderful tea but also learned so much more about Paediatric Chordoma & childhood cancers and Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) from Drew’s mum Mel and Amelia’s sister Sarah, who is a Trustee of Amelia Matters.

We hope you will plant your ‘Forget me Not’ seeds and use your Kindness Card which, not only provides an opportunity for you to be kind, but it also helps to raise the awareness of the Drew Barker-Wright charity.

Also, I know a good number of you bought a Amelia Matters pin, which I hope you wear with pride and which sparks new conversations with those you meet, again raising awareness of Amelia Matters.

We look forward to our next event in April 2020, the sale of all those amazing evening dresses, prom dresses and outfits only worn once……. or in some cases, not worn at all!
